Recently, I helped a customer put together their Centurion Pro Tabletop Wet/Dry Trimmer. The unit came in 5 separate boxes with some assembly required. This compact trimmer is only 24” L x 10” W x 21” H and weighs only 35 lbs. This unit is perfect for a small time grower up to a large greenhouse grower. This machine can trim 20 lbs. an hour wet, or 4 lbs. an hour dry using the same tumbler. Some other units require you to change the blades between wet and dry, but not this one. It also comes with an additional tumbler to keep you from having to clean as often. This unit also comes with a loading table for your materials and a 1 HP trim collector. The collector bags come in 3 different micron sizes. The outer bag is used to collect all of your trim, the second bag is for kief collection, and the outer bag will catch any kief that makes it way out of the kief collecting bag.
My first impression is quality. I’ve seen a lot of different trimmers, and this one holds its weight with the rest of them. The blades are completely adjustable, so you can fine-tune the amount of trim you want removed from your flowers. One feature I particularly like is adjustability of the airflow on the trim collector. Most of the trimmers with a trim collector just run full blast, and if there isn’t enough product going into the machine at once, the blower can pull the flowers further into the blades. With this inline adjustability, you can raise or lower that flow rate to prevent any damage to your flowers. And last but not least, this unit is completely moveable. With it only weighing 35 lbs., it can be moved and carried to any location, whether its in a warehouse or out in the field.
The assembly took just under an hour and only consisted of taking the bolts out that hold the tumbler in place to install it and eight bolts to put the hopper together. The blower for the trim collector needs four wheels attached, but other than that, this thing comes the rest of the way assembled. One person can easily do the assembly, which is convenient if you work alone.
For the price of this unit, and the size, I couldn’t recommend anything better for a small to mid-sized grower who doesn’t have time to hand trim all of their flowers. This unit will cut down on manpower, time, and also give you a good quality trim. Also you can’t beat the fact that their trimmer collecting bags come in three different microns to help you separate that golden kief and collect all of your trim for the processor.
As you can see from this blog post, we are happy to work personally with our customers to make sure you understand all of the ins and outs of this piece of equipment, as well as to help you get it up and running!
