Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 8th. We asked some of our employees who are moms what they would recommend for Mother’s Day gifts. Here are some of their favorites:
Flowering Shrubs
A bouquet of flowers lasts a week, if you’re lucky. Roses, peonies and other beautiful flowering shrubs can last for decades. What a wonderful way to show your lasting thanks for everything a mom does. Bonus points for helping her plant them!
A Hydroponic Garden
If you have a mom or wife who loves her veggie garden in the summer, here’s a gift that will allow her to have a veggie garden year-round. There are some really simple indoor growing systems that make great gifts for gardeners and cooks, and we love teaching people how to grow hydro!
Succulent and Terrarium Gardens
These tiny little plants and pots come in varieties to fit every mom’s style. But don’t feel overwhelmed, we can help you pick out and plant your selections, as well as tell you how to care for them. What a thoughtful gift to liven up mom’s home or office.
D.I.Y. Food Kits
For moms who like to be a little adventurous in the kitchen, you should check out our really cool DIY kits. For the cheese-lover, we have hard and soft cheese-making kits; fermentation and pickling jars for those who like a little zing; kombucha kits; vinegar mothers, and more. Plus a great collection of books to go with them.
Fifth Season Gift Card
When you know what your mom likes, but don’t know what she already has, a gift card is the perfect option. Let her pick out the hand tool that’s just right for her grip, or a book to page through on a Saturday afternoon. Might not be the most original gift, perhaps, but at least you know she’ll get exactly what she wants!
We wish all the moms out there a very Happy Mother’s Day. Thanks for all you do!
