Workshop attendees learn how to plant their own successively blooming potted spring bulb garden!
The workshop, led by Fifth Season Gardening, will guide attendees through the early, middle and late season spring bulb planting.
Spring bulbs, including: grape hyacinth, tete a tete daffodils, big daffodils and tulips will bloom in succession out of a single pot over a 4 to 6 week period. Great for any patio, front porch or balcony garden! We will lead attendees through the entire bulb planting process as well as offer care and maintenance tips.
Workshop lasts 1.5 hours. All attendees leave with flower bulbs, pot and soil.
Plant Propagation & Indoor Growing Class • $35

Plant propagation is really something that most any gardener should consider and will likely enjoy if they take the plunge! Fifth Season Gardening will lead an introductory class focused on indoor propagation techniques.
We will share how to properly take root cuttings from this year’s plants to winter over for next years bloom. Take away will be a tray of rooted cuttings.
Attendees will leave with a greater knowledge and appreciation for indoor growing as well as a take away a tray of propagated cuttings of rosemary, scented geraniums, and tropical plants.
If you’ve haven’t been successful at propagating plants, haven’t tried, or just want to brush up on your knowledge, then this class is just for you!

New Workshop! This workshop will cover the basics of houseplant care, orchid care, pest control, repotting, as well as overview of propagation. Attendees come prepared with questions and any tropical plants they want to swap. Attendees will leave with a greater knowledge and appreciation for houseplant care, maintenance and growing.

New Workshop! Learn the basics of orchid care and create your own Phalaenopsis orchid potted up! Each participant will create their own orchid with orchids grown in Virginia.
This beginner-friendly class is perfect for those wishing to learn more about care and continued maintenance of orhids.
Get your hands dirty as you learn to care for Philanopsis orchids and create a stunning, easy-to-maintain potted orchid! Orchid, pot and planting medium are all provided.
