A hands-on workshop for beginner bonsai enthusiasts led by bonsai artist Danny Coffey. This two hour class begins with an art and cultural history tour of bonsai. Participants will then learn how to repot and wire a tree as well as practice bending and shaping techniques. The class concludes with a discussion about how to care for your tree once you get home. Class fee includes professional instruction plus materials (ceramic pot, tree, and soil). Students leave with their own potted bonsai. Limited enrollment with pre-registration required.

Two sessions available! This hands-on class explores the art of building lush, self-contained ecosystems. Participants will learn how to choose the right container, plants, layer soil and drainage, and design beautiful miniature landscapes. They will also learn tips on maintenance, lighting, and creative hardscapes. Leave with your own thriving tropical terrarium and the knowledge to keep it flourishing at home. Taught by terrarium artist Andrew Stuckey. Limited enrollment with pre-registration required.
