Plant propagation is an incredibly useful skill for the home gardener. Unlike starting plants from seed, dividing or taking cuttings creates a genetic clone of the mother plant, allowing you to maintain particularly productive phenotypes or simply multiply plants in the absence of seed. In this class we will cover how to divide plants, how to take cuttings from different plant types, the use of different propagation mediums, the proper environment for propagation, and transitioning rooted cuttings to a permanent home. You will come away with your own flat of cuttings ready to root. Limited enrollment with pre-registration required.
