Class includes demonstrations on terrarium tools, and detailed instructions on how to create your own mini terrarium! Attendees will leave with their own, self-created terrarium! Class fee includes pickle jar, two terrarium plants, soil, charcoal, sand & moss. Additional items available for purchase, and attendees receive a 15% discount on same-day purchases of terrarium tools, glassware, terrarium plants, fairy figurines and misters/watering tools. Join us for an interactive, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to transform your soil into a thriving, living ecosystem—naturally. Bring a sample from your garden or planter for a chance to see what’s alive beneath the surface (3 samples analyzed per session-random draw). Learn practical, natural methods to improve plant performance through soil health by regenerative farming experts and creators of GROZOME Plant Probiotics. Plant on Paper: Botanical Illustration • $55

This mixed-media course is open to plant enthusiasts of all levels of drawing experience, but mostly focuses on drawing basics. If you’re already an experienced artist, it’s a great opportunity to challenge yourself through botanical illustration. Using plants in the store as our subject, we will focus on building technical drawing skills including measuring/sighting, line work, shading methods, and more. This class will be led by Lisa Eckenrode, who has a background in Fine Art drawing and painting. All materials will be provided. Limited enrollment with pre-registration required.
Mushroom Identification • $65

Two sessions available. This 90 minute class introduces you to the world of identifying mushrooms, covering characteristics of over 25 unique, rare, useful, and delectable mushrooms! Take a close look at safe edibles, live specimens, dangerous look-alikes and round out the class with a mushroom tasting charcuterie board (allergen-free, vegan, gluten-free options included) and quick mushroom hunt in the forest. Class fee includes NC USDA certified professional instruction, tasting, illustrated identification “cheat sheet”. Limited enrollment with pre-registration required.
