Bonsai 101 with Danny Coffey • $80 • Register

Curious about exploring the art of bonsai but not sure how to start? Perfect for beginners, this class will increase your confidence with bonsai and provide an opportunity for hands-on learning with a tree of your own to take home!
This two hour class begins with an art and cultural history tour of bonsai. Participants will then learn how to wire and repot their tree as well as bending techniques. The class concludes with a discussion about plant care, pest prevention, treatments, and winter protection.
Worms for Living Soil with Mary Ann Smith • $10 • Register
Saturday, February 17th • 2:00pm – 3:30pm
Composting with worms is a simple process that diverts food waste from landfills, while producing super-enriched soil amendment. Come learn not only the basics about worms and worm composting, but also the science behind successfully gardening with worm products. The magic is in the microbes! This class includes a step-by-step tutorial on building your own worm bin and ends with an opportunity for Q&A.
Worms are available for $30/lb! To reserve your worms, email Kristin to specify how many pounds of worms you’d like. Pickup and pay at the class.
