Expect a fun-filled, info-packed afternoon workshop on composting with worms. Beneficial for all ages! Brian Rosa, founder of BE New Organic World (BE N. O. W.), will dig into the basics of backyard composting and vermi-composting. Learn from an expert while experiencing the process firsthand.

Each participant or pair will leave with his or her very own worm bin filled with a half pound of healthy, hungry worms to start composting!
About the Instructor
Brian has more than 25 years’ experience in waste reduction, recycling, composting and vermiculture industries. He started his career at the grassroots level, instituting the local recycling drop-off center in his community. Shortly after, Brian created a successful consulting and compost equipment sales company.
Recently, Brian retired after 11 years with the N.C. Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources as the “Organics Recycling Specialist.” While with NCDENR, Brian provided BMP expertise and support to businesses, municipalities, farmers, and organic waste generators, collectors and com posters in all aspects of organic waste diversion and handling. Schools, associations, community gardeners and more enjoy engaging educational workshops led by Brian.
Over the last decade as a Global Sustainability Consultant, Brian’s passion has enabled regions far and wide to be restored and revitalized utilizing local resources. With BE New Organic World, Brian continues to deliver appropriate organics waste solutions to urban and agricultural clients worldwide.
