For many health enthusiasts, kombucha has become a daily part of the diet routine. Its’ flavor, effervescence, and vitality stimulating effects are hard to deny. Its also an extremely easy and accessible product to brew at home, which becomes even more enticing when one considers the $4 price tag on most national kombucha brands.
With these concepts in mind, we offer a Kombucha 101 and Beyond course. Local brewer and sustainable food-scaper Grant Ruhlman will cover the history, health benefits, and basic brewing methods to create a healthy, tasty, fizzy bucha. Beyond that, you’ll learn how to create your own flavors and bottle condition your kombucha, which separates a bland home brew from something that you will truly crave and be proud of.
The class will last around 2 hours, and include discussion as well as hands-on instruction to leave you with the knowledge, skills, and materials to jump start your own home brewed kombucha. Each participant will go home with a starter culture and a happy gut, thanks to the tasting at the end of the workshop! We invite you to join us as we dive deep into this “remedy for immortality” while enjoying each other’s company and collective experiences.
